may recap

i'm gonna be real with y'all: may was super boring and uneventful. but honestly, that's just how life works sometimes. not every month is gonna be wild and that's a good thing!

a few weeks ago, i started this little digital detox project. i deleted a bunch of my accounts on random platforms and set app time limits, which are kinda working... but let's be real, it's probably because i've been using my computer more than my phone. my daily screen time is still around 5-6 hours tho and my goal is to get it down to like 2-3 max.

i also started a new med in may to help with irritability (one of my bipolar symptoms), and by week three, i really noticed a difference. stuff that used to make me super pissed off just... didn't anymore. major win!

the end of the month was pure chaos tho, end of semester hell. i had to turn in assignments, give presentations and check my grades before finals. total panic mode.

but the last presentation i had to give? best one yet. i wasn't even nervous, my speech was clear, loud, no stuttering, perfect delivery. i was SO proud of myself and how much i've grown since starting college. for someone who's super hard on herself, that meant a lot.

anyway, may was literally just that. i'm going on college break in the first week of june and i wanna go to a quermesse , which is a traditional brazilian festival, usually held in june, with rural-themed decorations, typical foods like corn cake and sweet treats, folk music, dancing and games. people dress up as country folks in a fun caricature-y way and it's all about celebrating catholic saints, but tbh, for most people, it's just an excuse to eat a ton, wear straw hats and dance.

besides that, in june i wanna focus on the to-do list i made for this site. there's a lot on there and i wanna check off at least half of it. i don't wanna make fake promises, but i swear i'm gonna try not to procrastinate... like, really try.

i promised myself that now that i'm going on break, i wanna finish at least one pokémon game. i started black a while ago but it ended up collecting dust. i downloaded a switch emulator on my pc and got hyped to play let's go eevee, so that's what i've been playing lately. i already got a few solid hours in and i might make a little diary about my journey. but again, no promises lol

my last.fm for may ended up like this. i had gnarly on repeat most days. i don't even remember listening to the other artists, but they're there i guess...
