books

i love reading but i'm not always reading something, so don't expect this page to be updated super often. my motivation to read is a rollercoaster: some periods i go a long time without reading a single page. you won't find every book i've ever read here, just the favorites and the ones i felt like reviewing.

i don't use any book tracking apps. right now i organize my reads through notion. but if you wanna recommend me something or have any questions, feel free to reach out.

reading habits

  • i always read a few hours before bed: i like reading lying on my side, under the blanket, in the dark and in total silence so i can focus completely on the book. night time is the only time i can actually do that.
  • i prefer ebooks over physical books: to add to the previous bullet, reading physical books while lying down in the dark? impossible. that's why i love my kindle.
  • but i still buy some books: i like collecting stuff and i enjoy getting copies of the books i loved the most to put on my shelf.
  • i'm open to recommendations: as long as 1. it has at least one thing from my list of stuff i like; or 2. the person gives me a really good reason to check it out.
  • i usually, almost always, time my reading sessions: my daily goal is 30 minutes and it makes me happy when i go past it.
  • i'm a slow reader: because the faster i read a book, the faster i forget the story.
