music
i really love listening to music. i think it's because of my parents, they've always had a speaker playing something ever since i was a kid. you can def see my mom's music taste in mine, we still like the same songs to this day.
music has always played a big role in my life, mostly bc i met cool people through being a fan of certain artists and also bc english lyrics helped me learn the language... since music means so much to me, i have a really hard time picking just a few fav songs.
i listen to music on spotify, track my habits on last.fm and i have a cd collection that's currently on hiatus.
preferences
stuff i like
- girly pop;
- anime opening songs;
- lyrics that tell a story;
- 2000s pop;
- choreography;
- live versions;
- songs with addictive sounds (clapping, mouth noises, finger snaps);
- when the sound moves from the left earbud to the right and back;
stuff i tend to avoid
- screaming;
- k-pop ballads;
- brazilian funk;
- 2-minute songs;
- songs that give me the ick;
- lyrics that don't rhyme
- trap, rap, country;

* there are always exceptions!
listening habits
- i hate at first but get obsessed with later: yeah... happens more than i'd like to admit;
- the more i like a song, the louder i play it;
- which is why i hate it when earphones/headphones aren't loud enough or the speaker can't handle bass properly;
- i listen to music while doing literally everything except showering, reading and studying;
- i usually listen to songs individually and on shuffle: i'll only listen to a whole album in order when it's new or if i just discovered it;
- i'd rather save songs to "liked songs" than make playlists;
- when i'm obsessed with a song, i really go all in... like 70+ plays in a day;
- when i'm not listening to music, i'm probably humming something anyway;
- lyrics matter a lot to me: i won't stop listening to a song just bc the lyrics are mid, but i definitely appreciate it way more when the lyrics are actually well written;
